Score one for the good guys!

I'm always amazed at how often parents fail to teach their children how to defend themselves and others. They seem to believe that if you avoid personal violence skills, violence will avoid you. You know, like the way that not having a fire extinguisher means that you won't have fires.

The article linked to explained how one of the suspects had been involved in a couple of car jackings; that's aggravated robbery made to sound like something less since it happens so often. Our society used to put convicted robbers in prison for so long as to make them old men when they got out, if they got out; but we need to give them a chance to join society earlier because we are progressive.

John Lott says there's one thing that works better than concealed carry, and it's a lot better: keep violent criminals behind bars.
