Bill Clinton, once again

showing wisdom:

"...[H]e praised the Peruvian wiz Hernando de Soto as the world's most important living economist — that he thinks so highly of de Soto, whose cause in life is property rights, and what they can do for every human being, speaks well of him. (Clinton also quipped that "some think 'living economist' is an oxymoron.")"

I didn't like Clinton when he was president, but then all I ever heard about him was from right wing talk radio, or from him was all the promises of taxpayers' money to non-taxpayers. But since he left office, all I hear is what a bull he was for free trade. And he seems to have a handle on the real world situation that other democrats don't. I wouldn't vote for Kerry even if he promised to have Clinton as his Secretary of State. Of course the fact that I don't believe it for a minute obscures my judgment.
