I was out doing yardwork, when I discovered that The Daily Kos had noticed that private security in foreign war zones are mercenaries and had said about them, "They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them."

So I had to come in and make sure it's understood that I'm not in that camp. I believe that there is great expertise to tap in military retirees. Instapunit (who misspelled Gandelman the other day; of course, I once called him Bendelman, though I corrected it later) has a long discussion of it.
